With kids, it is important to have that time and place for them to be outside and play. These homeowners have a large piece of land for their kids to run around the backyard freely. The one thing they did not have was a place to relax and watch their kids play while they read a book or grilled burgers. With dogs as well, they needed something more that would provide them the ability to let their dogs out safely and watch their kids be kids.
The deck we designed for them includes lots of space wrapping around the back of the house. A set of stairs with a gate attached is added to make sure the dogs stay safe and do not run away. Gates are a great way to make your deck project even more customized to your needs. With dogs safe and children playing, the adults needed a place to relax too. Adding the pavilion and a sectional couch provided seating for many friends and family to come. In addition, we added a bump out for the grill and a space for the parents to lay flat and read a book. Helping this family was a joy!
